Rex-Rotary Broadens Multifunction Range by Introducing Four New models for Customised Document Processing

Rex-Rotary launches four new multifunctional devices for midsized to large workgroups: the MP 4000, MP 4000B, MP 5000 and MP 5000B. With output speeds ranging from 40 to 50 pages per minute, Rex-Rotary brings the latest in high performance black and white document handling. The MP 4000/MP 4000B and MP 5000/MP 5000B can be customised to the user’s exact requirements. Standard configurations include advanced copying/printing, either with or without scanning functionalities.

To meet both current and future office demands, upgradeable office equipment is essential. The MP 4000/MP 4000B and MP 5000/MP 5000B help businesses stay on top of the game. These advanced multifunctional devices are fully customisable and offer numerous benefits to increase the user’s productivity. The copier mainframes can be easily equipped with the Rex-Rotary proprietary RPCS™ printer unit, a common PCL printer enhance unit or a full-featured scanner enhance unit. These options can be either pre-configured or installed later on to meet changing customer requirements. A high speed fax module is also available as an option.

While the MP 4000/MP 4000B print continuously at 40 pages per minute (ppm), the MP 5000/MP 5000B step up the pace to 50 ppm. Duplex output is equally fast.  Waiting time is further minimised with a fast 13-second warm-up and a first copy speed of 4.1/3.5 seconds. Finishing options include booklet creation, punching and stapling. Users can easily produce professional quality presentations, flyers and promotional material in-house.

Maaike Giling, Product Manager at Ricoh Europe, is confident that these new devices are an attractive and competitive solution for the office: “Rex-Rotary is traditionally leading the market in the black and white office segment and these new models continue the trend for market-leading innovative solutions,” she explains. “With the MP 4000/MP 4000B and MP 5000/MP 5000B we are offering customers a better choice, ensuring they find a Rex-Rotary multifunction device to meet their specific needs. Advanced features are available for all four models, but if not required, slim versions offer an affordable alternative.”

To save time and costs, users can distribute their information digitally. Scanned files are easily sent directly by e-mail, to a dedicated network folder or via URL. The MP 4000/MP 5000 offer additional features with the inclusion of standard colour scanning. Colour documents can be sent as e-mail attachments by combining ‘scan to e-mail’ and ‘colour scanning’.

To protect the user’s data against possible security threats, the MP 4000/MP 4000B and MP 5000/MP 5000B include the latest security measures. These include common authentication methods and data encryption. To safeguard data on the Hard Disk Drive, a Data Overwrite Security function overwrites the hidden temporary data with random data after the completion of a job. The Copy Data Security unit protects confidential prints when they are copied by unauthorised users.

Suiting virtually any network environment, these devices feature a number of tools which allow companies to streamline their workflow and save time. The convenient ‘mail to print’ feature, for instance, directly prints e-mail attachments without requiring a printer driver. Digital files can also be sent to a network folder, e-mail address, URL or FTP.

The MP 4000/MP 4000B and MP 5000/MP 5000B are the latest additions to Rex-Rotary’s advanced range of digital office equipment. Rex-Rotary currently manufactures one of the world’s most extensive line ups of printers, copiers, scanners, faxes and multifunctional devices, as well as advanced software solutions.
